How To Measure Your Sofa For A Full-coverage Sofa Cover

How To Measure Your Sofa For A Full-coverage Sofa Cover

Choosing the right full-coverage sofa cover starts with measuring your sofa correctly. Because sofas vary in depth, height, and arm style, accurate measurements help ensure your unfitted sofa cover drapes neatly and provides complete coverage. Use the image below as a reference while measuring.

Step 1: Measure Front-to-Back Coverage (A + B)

This is the most important measurement for full coverage.

Start at the front bottom edge of the sofa. Measure up the front, across the seat cushions, over the backrest, and down to the bottom of the back of the sofa. This full path is shown by the red lines (A + B) in the image.

This measurement ensures the cover fully drapes over the front, seat, and back without riding up.

Step 2: Measure Left-to-Right Width (C)

Measure from the outer edge of one armrest, straight across the seat, to the outer edge of the opposite armrest. This is shown by the green line (C) in the image.

Choosing the Right Size

Compare your measurements with the size guide on the product page.

The cover you want is (A +B) X C cm.

If your sofa falls between two sizes, choose the larger size for a better drape and fuller coverage.

For some sofa covers, (A+B) may be a fixed length (for example, 180cm). If your (A+B) measurement is larger than the fixed length, do not worry, because the only difference it will make is the way B hangs along the sofa back. It may hang anywhere between top to bottom of the backside.
