How to Measure Your Sofa for Unfitted Sofa Covers (Simple Guide)

Unfitted sofa covers are a flexible and stylish way to protect and refresh your sofa—but accurate measurements are key to getting the perfect look. This quick guide shows you how to measure each part of your sofa so you can confidently choose the right pieces.

1. Seating area measurement Guide for Sofa Covers

To ensure a perfect fit for your seating area cover:

Length (A): Measure along blue line

Width (B): Measure along red line

The cover you want is B x A cm

Note: This guide includes additional allowance to ensure easy tucking and a neat, snug fit. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size.

2. Backrest Measurement Guide for Sofa Covers- Option 1

To ensure a perfect fit for your backrest cover:

Backrest Length (C): Measure along green line

Backrest width (D + E): Measure along black line

The cover you want is (D+E) x C cm

Tip: If you plan to tuck the backrest cover neatly under the lower front edge of the backrest, add an extra 20–30 cm. This ensures full coverage and a smooth, tailored look. Order in multiples of 3 or more based on how many backrest cushions your sofa has. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size.

3. Backrest Measurement Guide for Sofa Covers- Option 2

Instead of ordering one piece for every backrest cushion, you may opt to order a single piece to cover the entire backrest area:

Backrest Length (C): Measure along green line from one end of the backrest to the other

Backrest Width (D + E): Measure along the black line

The cover you want is (D+E) x C cm

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size.

4. Armrest Measurement Guide for Sofa Covers

To ensure a perfect fit for your armrest cover:

Armrest Length (F): Measure along violet line

Armrest Width (G): Measure along orange line

The cover you want is G x F cm

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size.
